Black Dog Ale....good in a very odd way.

Black Dog Ale brewed in Bozeman Montana...my first impression ( I look confused don't I?) was that it "tastes like dirt". Now that is not necessarily a BAD thing...when I was a young preschooler, I was eating and thoroughly enjoying mud pies I made in my yard with the neighbor girl. And who doesn't enjoy the smell outside after a recent rainshower? THAT smell is what the taste was reminiscent of!
