Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale

Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale:  This pumpkin ale had that yummy nutty finish that I love, with slight undertones of bitterness. But I could not detect any “pumpkin” or spicy notes. Maybe tasting it directly after Samuel Adams offering, the flavors were far too subtle to compete with what I just sipped on. At any rate, it’s still a good autumn beer!  UPDATE 8-15-2012: So upon a second taster of this beer, I was able to make out the clove and nutmeg flavors which of course reminded me of pumpkin pie! Since spiced pumpkin is the only way I am used to actually ever tasting pumpkin, the jury is still out on whether pumpkin is prominent on my palate. Still good though! Maybe they should rename it "Pumpkin Pie Ale"?
