Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron:
A malt beverage aged on Palo Santo Wood…I was able to make out the
vanilla and caramel notes it says are part of the complexity of this brown ale,
but it was a STRONG one! At 12% ABV, it was indeed best sipped at room
temperature, and I do mean SIP. As in SLOWLY…as in, something I find very hard
to do. But drinking it at that level, it almost felt like I was sipping on a
fine bourbon. I am not much of a hard alcohol person in general, so this would
be as close to it as I will come. Good, but definitely for more mature palates!
